Lonely Father is an event arc in The Fall of Winterhome.

Pain of separation[ | ]

Lonely Father - Pain of separation

This event will trigger shortly after you send some children to the dreadnought.

Sir, my only son was sent to the Dreadnought. Could I go in the next transport to join him? His mother died in the great fire when it took our house. He has no one but me and I'm afraid he won't survive alone.

You have the following options:

  • I can't make exceptions: Hope will fall slightly
  • I'll send you on the next transport: You will have to send one worker on the next transport.

Unfair treatment[ | ]

If you chose "I'll send you on the next transport" during Pain of separation this event will trigger shortly thereafter.

Sir, some of our people are angry that you sent the father to the Dreadnought to reunite him with his son before others had the chance. They say that everyone wants to go and special treatment like that is unfair.

He won't wait[ | ]

Lonely Father - He won't wait

If you chose "I can't make exceptions" during Pain of separation this event will trigger shortly thereafter.

Sir, one of our workers wants to leave Winterhome and try to reach the Dreadnought on his own. It's the father that you didn't send to join his child. Should we let him go?

You have the following options:

  • Let him go: One worker will leave the city. Discontent will rise
  • Stop him: He may get hurt. Requires an active Guard Station or Faith Keepers.
