First crew in place[edit | edit source]

This event will trigger when the first crew of engineers arrives.

Sir, the first of the crew have just reached the Dreadnought. They can now start refitting it.

The people we evacuate will need cabins and Food Rations. If we don't make sure they have them, they'll die during the journey.

The more people we send, the more they'll need. You have to balance this to ensure a successful evacuation. To convert the first deck into cabins, we'll need 300 Steel and 1 Steam Core. To feed the people currently on the Dreadnought, we'll need at least 250 Food Rations.

You have the following options:

  • I see

People worry about the evacuation[edit | edit source]

This event will trigger roughly two days after you're given the "Prepare to evacuate" quest if you have not completed the Evacuation Centre.

Sir, it's been two days since we learned that our last hope is to evacuate to the Dreadnought, but the Evacuation Centre still hasn't been completed and people are getting worried. They expect you to speed up the evacuation preparations.

You have the following options:

  • I'll build it in due time
  • I'll build it right away: The Evacuation Centre will be shown in the Construction menu.

People demand action[edit | edit source]

This event will trigger every 2 additional days you have not completed the Evacuation Centre.

Time is running out and the Evacuation Centre still hasn't been completed. People are starting to get desperate. They've gathered to demand immediate action.

You have the following options:

  • I see: Discontent will rise greatly
  • Disperse the crowd: People may get hurt. Requires an active Guard Station or Faith Keepers

Limited space[edit | edit source]

This event will trigger after you begin sending supplies to the dreadnought.

Sir, we have some bad news concerning the Dreadnought: the space aboard is limited. We can and should build additional cabins, but we won't be able to save everyone in Winterhome.

The rumours about limited space are already circulating in the city. People are tense and anxious...

You have the following options:

  • I see: Hope falls. Discontent rises.

Unfair treatment[edit | edit source]

This event will occur if you send either the lonely father or agree to the engineer's demands

Sir, a large group of angry people wants to leave the city and go to the Dreadnought on their own! They feel cheated, because you gave priority to some people getting on the evacuation transports.

"No more playing God!" shouts a worker, shaking his grease-stained fist. "You won't get to judge who'll be saved and who'll die any more!"

You have the following options:

  • Let them go, we'll manage: A large group of people will leave the city. Discontent will rise greatly. Hope will fall greatly.
  • Use lethal force to stop them: People will get badly hurt and some may die. Requires an active Guard Station or Faith Keepers

Steadfast resolve[edit | edit source]

This event triggers when the Dreadnought fills up.

As the Dreadnought fills up with evacuees, the people who remain in the city come to talk to you.

"We can see where things are headed. There are no cabins waiting for us. Now that almost everyone is on board, let us choose how we spend our final days." Some want to leave Winterhome and try their luck in Frostland. Others plan to stay at in the city and face the end with dignity.

You have the following options:

  • Go, we'll launch the dreadnought now: The Dreadnought will launch and the game will end.
  • Get back to work! the dreadnought needs supplies!: People will go back to work under guard. Some of them may get hurt. Requires an active Guard Station or Faith Keepers
  • Just a couple more days - the dreadnought needs supplies: People will return to work. Hope is too low, people are desperate

Evacuation complete[edit | edit source]

Prepare the Evacuation - Evacuation complete.png

This event will trigger when you complete all the optional objectives for preparing the evacuation.

Sir, you did everything you could. All the decks of the Dreadnought are converted to cabins, filled with people, and there's enough Food Rations in the hold for a long journey.

All that remains is to launch the Dreadnought.

You have the following options:

  • We'll set out in due time
  • Launch the dreadnought: The Dreadnought will launch and the game will end.
