Description[edit | edit source]

Produce 60 Raw Food/10h

The Industrial Hothouse is a fully-industrialized hothouse that has a hermetically sealed interior and thick glass windows that allow light to enter and keep the warmth inside and cold outside. Two powerful Steam Cores are kept running around the clock, generating heat to the interior of the building which houses an environment of warm and humid air and soil at the right temperatures to keep the delicate plant life alive. As opposed to its rough-hewn predecessor; the Industrial Hothouse is able to grow Old World vegetables and fruits like Grain, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Corn, Apples, Pumpkins and the like.

This structure has become something of a beacon of hope for our community, not just as another source of food, but that it serves as a reminder of what once was and that one day we might be able to make the world green once again. Many are starting to consider work inside one of these warm and comfortable wombs of steel and glass to be the highest privilege one can get in this frozen hellscape. Caring for future generations of seeds or seedlings that may one day flourish in the New World after this New Ice Age has ended.

Many people have already come forward and offered any seeds or seedlings they had in their possession; some of them were species of grains, vegetables or fruits we thought were lost during the Great Frost.
