Forceful Persuasion is an event arc that triggers after the passage of Forceful Persuasion (Law). This arc will result in the death of a citizen.

This event will trigger shortly after you use the ability.

A concerned mother wants to speak with you, sir. She says that a group of kids has beaten up her boy.

"They were just playing," she says, wringing her hands, "but then one boy kicked him, another pushed him, and then they all piled on him, yelling 'Forceful Persuasion Forceful Persuasion' Now he's too scared to go out and play."

You have the following options:

  • They're just playing: Hope will fall
  • Reprimand the kids: Discontent will rise

Regardless of your decision in the first event, this event will trigger next. A citizen will die.

Sir, there was an accident in the prison. An inmate has died and another has been badly injured. They were both beaten on the same watch.

Our wardens are very good at breaking prisoners, but it seems they're starting to enjoy the job too much.

You have the following options:

  • They are doing their job: Hope will fall
  • Punish the wardens: Discontent will rise

Forceful Persuasion - People are angry

Regardless of your decision in "Accidental death" this event will trigger.

Sir, people are protesting in front of the prison, outraged by the death of an inmate during Forceful Persuasion. There are quite a few of them, and some are carrying signs saying He was not a threat , You killed a son and a father , and the like.

You have the following options:

  • Guards, restore order: People may get hurt. Hope will fall. Discontent will fall. Requires an active Guard Station
  • Let them protest: Discontent will rise

Sir, one of our people has been beaten by the guards so badly that he's close to death. They claim that he was "seen loitering with scoundrels" and that they wanted to "teach him a lesson". But his neighbours don't confirm these accusations.
