Frozen Trees are non-constructible locations that contain Wood. The only way to extract Wood from these locations are to build Sawmills within range. Each tree tile only provides about 75 wood, but most scenarios have many tree locations.

Sawmills are the only way to extract wood from Frozen Trees. They cannot be manned directly, nor will Gathering Posts gather Wood from them.
Frozen Trees will be destroyed if you try to build a building on them.
